THOL, there would be hardly any Amdavadi, who would have not heard about or been to Thol lake. The popular lakes in the city where visitor can enjoy bird watching and scenery, distant from the hustle bustle of the city.

Thol Lake Bird sanctuary is located in the outskirts of Ahmedabad. Approximately twenty five kilometers from the city, named after a small village Thol. The native and breed to lots of species of birds such as Cranes, Flamingoes, geese, ducks, spoonbills, pelicans, whistling teals, egrets, herons and many more.

This bird sanctuary is an all day outing within the city and easy to commute. The lake and birds has become favorite spot for many photographers to capture different moods.
